What to Expect from Family Therapy

Family Care Group (Thursdays, 6–8 PM)

This free weekly group in Lafayette is open to any member of the community and is led by a qualified counselor and open to adult family members. You’ll learn about addiction, share experiences, and receive emotional support.

Topics include:

  • Codependency and boundaries
  • The disease model of addiction
  • 12-Step education
  • Self-care and emotional healing

You’re welcome to attend while your loved one is in treatment and after discharge.

 

Family Week (3rd or 4th Week of Treatment)

Family Week is an immersive two-day program held at our Lafayette campus. It includes education, group activities, and personalized support sessions.

You’ll explore:

  • The science of addiction
  • Letters to your loved one
  • Boundary-setting and forgiveness
  • Wellness tools and communication skills

Each family leaves with recommendations and continued care plans tailored to their needs.

We even offer phone sessions or help you find resources in your area if you live far away.
