Director of Nursing

Julie St. Martin, RN

Julie St. Martin, RN, serves as the Director of Nursing at Victory Addiction Recovery Center, bringing nearly two decades of dedicated experience in chemical dependency, addiction medicine, and healthcare education. A proud Lafayette native, Julie graduated from the University of Southwest Louisiana—now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette—in 1996, and has since devoted her career to supporting individuals on the path to recovery.

Her passion for addiction medicine was discovered in 2005 while working as a detox nurse at University Medical Center in Lafayette. That experience marked the beginning of her lifelong mission: to provide compassionate, expert care to those struggling with substance use.

Leadership, Experience & Philosophy:

Julie’s leadership is rooted in both clinical expertise and a deep personal commitment to recovery care. After the closure of University Medical Center in 2012, she transitioned into management as Director of Nursing at Acadiana Treatment Center and later Compass Recovery Center, where she helped shape quality care standards for both staff and patients.

In addition to her leadership roles in recovery centers, Julie has made a significant impact in the education space. As Manager of Clinical Education at University Hospitals and Clinics, she oversaw training for more than 1,100 staff members, residents, and physicians—ensuring clinical excellence across the organization.

Julie’s blend of hands-on care and administrative leadership makes her a cornerstone of the nursing team at Victory. She continues to lead with compassion, advocating for education, safety, and dignity in every phase of recovery.

Outside of her clinical role, Julie remains deeply connected to the Lafayette community and is driven by a lifelong passion for addiction recovery and patient advocacy.
