Chief Executive Officer

Kerri Cunningham, LCSW, LAC

Kerri Cunningham is the Chief Executive Officer of Victory Addiction Recovery Center and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed addiction counselor (LAC). With over two decades of experience in substance use treatment and trauma therapy, Kerri brings both clinical depth and strategic leadership to Victory’s mission of compassionate recovery.

She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University and began her career as a primary counselor. Over the years, she has held senior roles at Acadiana Addiction Center and Belle of the Oaks before opening her own private practice in 2009. In 2012, Kerri began consulting on the development of Victory, eventually joining full-time as Program Director in 2014—and rising to CEO shortly thereafter.

Leadership & Clinical Impact

Kerri’s leadership blends clinical expertise with visionary program development. She specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), trauma-informed care, and intervention strategies. Her guidance has been instrumental in shaping Victory into one of Louisiana’s leading addiction recovery centers.

Her work extends beyond the treatment center. In 2014, she was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to the Louisiana Council on Addictive Disorders. In 2017, Governor John Bel Edwards named her to the Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority (ADRA), where she continues to help shape statewide policies on addiction care.

Kerri is deeply committed to maintaining the integrity of addiction treatment in Louisiana and believes that long-term recovery is possible when individuals are met with dignity, structure, and empathy.

Outside of her leadership role, Kerri is a mentor, speaker, and active advocate for trauma-informed policy reform and recovery support systems throughout the state.
