What Happens When Your Loved One Suffers From Addiction
For many family members, recognizing the signs of addiction is not simple. It is often a very fine line, initially, to learn what a person is engaging in a “fun” recreational experience and when they are in trouble for dependency. If you see any of the following signs of addiction and dependency in your loved one, we recommend contacting us:
- Withdrawal from activities and people they once enjoyed
- Focus on using that substance on a nearly constant basis
- Need for constant financial support or running into trouble with the law frequently
- Finding it difficult to focus on work, school, or other commitments
- Hiding their substance use or how much they are using
If your loved one has tried to stop using substances and has not been able to do so, or they are continuously battling health complications, it may be time to request help through our medical detox program. Detox takes a few days to weeks to navigate. During this time, your family member will have a medical team available to help if there are any complications or concerns. They are safe with us, and we can help them ease away from substances in an environment where we can provide emergency care if necessary.
Residential Treatment for Your Loved One
Our inpatient residential treatment program can be an excellent resource for family members battling addiction. It can be scary to think that your family member may be in a treatment center for 30 days. However, our home-like environment is a welcome place where they can focus solely on their own well-being. You will not be out of reach of them, as we have family days, and they can reach out to you at various times of inactivity.
In treatment, your loved one will work on themselves through a wide range of treatment programs and therapies, all of which are science-based, highly effective, and proven to be beneficial to

- Holistic care
This is an environment where individuals can learn, grow, and enhance their overall quality of life. Most importantly, they are safe throughout the process and are gaining the incredible resources necessary to support long-term healing.
